Our Beliefs
"For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed—a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: 'The righteous will live by faith.' ” Romans 1:17
About God:
We believe that God is the one and only true Creator of all things. We firmly hold to the belief that He created us with a purpose, so that through His grace we may live in joy and peace.
About Jesus
We believe that Jesus Christ is the only way to God and eternal life. We believe that he came down from heaven as fully God and fully man in order to accomplish a sacred mission: to reconcile us with our Heavenly Father by paying for all of the sin of humanity on the cross. We also acknowledge his resurrection three days later, defeating death through His power and offering hope for an eternity spent with Him forevermore.
About the Holy Spirit
We believe in the presence and power of The Holy Spirit. We recognize that it is a personage of spirit belonging to the Godhead – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit – existing from eternity to eternity as part of our triune God.
We believe in the power of The Holy Spirit to transform lives and bring hope. We believe that The Holy Spirit is a life-giver – one who encourages us in our daily walk with God, equips us for his purposes and reveals the truth. As Christians, we recognize that The Holy Spirit has been given by Jesus as a defense from evil spirits and guides our every step throughout this journey called life—filling us with joy, peace and comfort during hard times or simply passing through days when everything seems alright.
About Trinity
We believe in the Trinity – Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The belief in a Triune God is fundamental to our Christian faith and reflects that there is only one true God who exists as three distinct persons—Father, Son and Holy Spirit while still remaining united.
About the Devil
We believe that the Devil is real and exists to oppose God’s ways. The Devil works against good and aims to lead people to sin and away from salvation through Christ Jesus.
The devil (also known as Satan or Lucifer) was created as one of God’s angels but rebelled against His will because of his pride. He continues this rebellion in an attempt to ruin God’s plan for humanity by leading us astray with temptation.
God did not create evil, but He does allow it so that men are given a choice between righteousness and wickedness – where without choice there can be no true love nor obedience before Him. Thus the devil has been granted dominion on earth until judgment day when he will be destroyed forever (Matthew 25:41).
About Salvation
We believe in salvation through the grace of God and Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross. We believe that all people are sinners who have chosen to go against what is good and just; therefore, no one can save themselves from a spiritual death- there must be an outside source of redemption for human beings.
Jesus paid for our sins by dying on the cross. His act was done out of love and allows us access to eternal life with Him once again.
